We all love being scared! You may read that and say “Yeah, that is not true.” But, we are here to tell you that The Dead End Hayride in Wyoming, Minnesota proves that we love being scared.

As comic and film fanatics, we love all things horror, but we have family members that try their best to avoid most things horror related. So, we decided to take my mom to a haunted attraction for her 51st birthday. The Dead End Hayride is 160 acres that is hauled as a Top 5 legendary haunt in the nation and her birthday marked opening night for this year.
Right as we pull into PineHaven Farm we are greeted with a sign welcoming us to The Dead End Hayride and we know that this will be an unforgettable experience. Nothing too scary to start as we enter the ground but there is a sense that those that run the Dead End Hayride put a lot of effort and care into what they do and you will get your moneys worth.
It is perfect that the commons area is the first thing that you walk through because it is necessary to get a drink, some food and take advantage of the photo ops. You are unable to take video and pictures once you enter the hayride and I love that. It keeps the scares fresh and unknown for those attending the hayride.
That being said, while waiting in line to enter the hayride, you will be greeted by creepy and unforgettable characters. Voodude is the one character that will stay with you as he dad hugs you and tries to scare you when you are not looking. A huge drive-in screen that is projecting macabre music videos and some spoof videos is difficult to miss as it’s fun to watch the videos while waiting in line. The closer we got to the end of the line and see the hayride approach for our chance, nerves and adrenaline started to become apparent as the parents start to sweat and become startled easily.

Now this may be unusual for a recap and review of an attraction, but out of respect to the attraction and the hard work that is put into providing chills and thrills, I will not spoil anything from the hayride and beyond.
Nothing really stands out, which is a good thing in my opinion. Everything that the Dead End Hayride has crafted is scary, fun and unforgettable. If I had to pick a favorite moment it would be the Hayride, as this is non-stop scares for 20 minutes that only teases what the rest of the attraction has to offer. From clowns, crazed criminals, monsters and some surprises throughout, The Dead End Hayride is a definite must for the spooky season.

With the amazing experience we had with The Dead End Hayride, we will be visiting other haunted attractions this spooky season. Keep an eye out for other recaps and reviews in the near future.
